
We’re looking for a Corporate Counsel who thrives on being in the middle of the action—providing smart, practical legal guidance that keeps the business moving forward while protecting what matters. You’ll be a critical advisor, leading contract strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and proactively managing risk in a global SaaS and services environment.

What You’ll Do:
- Be a Strategic Legal Partner: Deliver clear, actionable advice to leadership and cross-functional teams on contracts, risk, and regulatory matters.
- Own Contract Management: Lead contract review, drafting, and negotiation across customer agreements, vendor contracts, partnerships, and employment documents—ensuring we are protected without slowing the business down.
- Lead the Contract Administration Team: Oversee and mentor an in-house team focused on contract operations, and manage relationships with external counsel when needed.
- Drive Compliance: Ensure we stay aligned with laws, regulations, and industry standards across all domestic and international markets where we operate.
- Mitigate Risk: Develop smart, proactive strategies to identify, manage, and reduce legal and operational risks.
- Champion Corporate Governance: Support corporate records management and governance processes to ensure we are always audit-ready and in good standing.
- Communicate with Clarity: Translate complex legal language into simple, business-friendly terms to help teams make informed, confident decisions.
- Balance Big Picture and Details: Confidently shift between high-level legal strategy and hands-on, day-to-day contract and compliance work.
- Be Collaborative and Approachable: Build trust and strong partnerships with teams across the organization.
What You Bring:
- JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.
- 8-10 years of relevant corporate legal experience, ideally a mix of in-house and law firm work.
- Proven expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, corporate compliance, and risk management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a range of legal matters.
- Experience supporting SaaS, technology, or services businesses is a strong plus.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment and manage competing deadlines with confidence.
- Strong business judgment and practical problem-solving ability.
- High emotional intelligence with a collaborative, team-first mindset.
- Willingness to both lead and roll up your sleeves to get things done.

The on-target earnings including base salary and bonus for this position is $200,000-$250,000. It is important to Calero that potential candidates for this position understand that compensation depends on numerous factors including the geographic location where the role will be performed, skills required, experience, complexity, travel, and market rate. Calero aims to reward performance and attract top talent with competitive, fair pay and benefits. Please note that the top of the salary range represents exceptional, and/or senior-level positions, that meets all required qualifications. Actual offers take candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience into account. Base Pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
