Bankruptcy Paralegal

Aubrey Thrasher, LLC is a national collections and creditors' rights law firm. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Aubrey Thrasher represents banks, non-bank lenders, credit unions, equipment finance companies and other financial institutions in the collection of commercial and consumer debt. Aubrey Thrasher's attorneys file litigation and post-judgment actions and represent clients in Bankruptcy proceedings directly in ten (10) states and nationally through a network of law firms.

The firm seeks full-time Bankruptcy Paralegal for its growing litigation practice to join the attorneys and other professionals in the collaborative environment of its Buckhead, Atlanta office. The firm offers training and development opportunities for enthusiastic new team members to grow with the firm

Responsibilities:

· Review bankruptcy dockets and filings

· Draft and file Proofs of Claim and Reaffirmation Agreements (familiarity with ePoC, Pacer, and ECF preferred).

· Maintain calendar of deadlines and hearings for each Bankruptcy matter and ensure timeliness of filings

· Review and summarize cases, Bankruptcy Plans, and common motions/pleadings

· Assist with preparation for common hearings and appearances, such as the Meeting of Creditors

· Maintain client files and court documents via our case management system

· Manage communications with clients, court staff, and local counsel

Qualifications:

· 0-3 years of bankruptcy support or paralegal experience

· Familiarity with Chapter 7, 11, 13 proceedings and general bankruptcy terms and procedure

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel

· Strong organizational and time management skills

· Excellent written and verbal communication

Location:

Atlanta, GA (Buckhead) - in office

Salary:

$22.00-$24.00/hour DOE
