About Posterity Group:  Posterity Group LLC is a veteran owned, service-disabled small business, headquartered in Rockville, MD, that specializes in federal government contracting and staffing.  We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Immigration Paralegal to join our team and assist in reviewing and filing H2B, H1B, and J1 visa applications. 

Job Summary: The Immigration Paralegal will play a critical role in supporting our attorneys by preparing and submitting visa applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of immigration processes, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our clients. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the preparation, review, and filing of H2B, H1B, and J1 visa applications and petitions. 
  • Collect and analyze client documentation to ensure compliance with immigration laws and requirements. 
  • Draft legal documents, including petitions, support letters, and correspondence with clients. 
  • Maintain organized case files and ensure that all documents are accurate and submitted in a timely manner. 
  • Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on the status of their cases. 
  • Coordinate with government agencies as needed, following up on pending applications and resolving any issues. 
  • Conduct legal research to stay informed about changes in immigration regulations and procedures that may impact visa applications. 
  • Develop and update templates and checklists to streamline the application process. 
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling meetings and managing deadlines. 
Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Paralegal certification is preferred. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in immigration law, specifically with H2B, H1B, and J1 visa applications. 
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. immigration laws, procedures, and documentation requirements. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members. 
  • Proficient in legal research tools and document management software. 
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
