Zuckerman Spaeder is seeking highly motivated paralegals for its Pre-Law Paralegal Program. This is a unique opportunity for new or recent college graduates with a demonstrated interest in pursuing a legal career. Paralegals will work closely with attorneys on substantive case matters and gain firsthand experience in legal practice. A full two-year commitment is required (June 2026 - May 2028).
This is a Non-Exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines. Standard Full-Time Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm (in-office), with occasional overtime hours as needed to meet job requirements. For candidates meeting the requirements, the base salary is $70,000 per year, plus overtime. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal and factual research using online databases and other resources
- Draft, edit, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and memoranda
- Organize and maintain case files and records in electronic databases and physical files
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, discovery, and interviews, including detailed notetaking
- Manage and prioritize multiple assignments under deadlines
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff in a fast-paced office environment
- Handle office administrative, organizational, and clerical tasks as requested

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (recent or upcoming graduates only). Candidates from highly selective undergraduate institutions are preferred
- Demonstrated interest in pursuing a legal career (i.e., coursework, internships, extracurriculars)
- GPA of 3.5 or above preferred
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and planning abilities
- Exceptional computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and online research
- Professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic
- Willingness to work in-office 5 days per week (occasional remote work may be permitted) and to travel as required for the function
- Commitment to complete the full two-year term of the program
