Specific Responsibilities:
- Draft and negotiate broad range of procurement contracts from inception to completion with a primary focus on direct and indirect product procurement contracts, including enterprise-level supply chain and distribution agreements.
- Facilitate the coordination of input from various subject matter experts relating to the negotiation of procurement contracts.
- Thoughtfully lead and collaborate throughout the contracting and legal review processes by analyzing significant legal, business and financial risks, with escalation to senior-level legal counsel, as appropriate.
- Develop and effectively articulate creative solutions and mitigation strategies for key negotiation points to achieve timely and beneficial results.
- Establish a rapport and working relationship with clients and colleagues.
- Assist in process improvement and establishment of best demonstrated practices for all aspects of procurement contracting.
- Some travel may be required.
Qualifications:
- J.D. degree and a minimum of six years of legal experience. In-house experience preferred, but not necessary.
- Candidates must have three to five years’ experience drafting, interpreting and negotiating direct and/or indirect product procurement contracts in healthcare or other regulated industries. Experience negotiating supply contracts with medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturers a plus.
- State bar passage and good standing.
- General understanding of relevant healthcare compliance issues (e.g., Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, HIPAA) preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.

$121,200.00 - $177,900.00 / yearCompensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
