Job Summary:
Cohen & Steers’ Legal and Compliance Department is seeking exceptional candidates for a full-time summer associate opportunity. The legal summer associate will gain experience working in the legal department of a publicly traded global asset manager. Major Responsibilities/Activities:
- Assist in-house counsel with various legal projects related to the company’s onshore and offshore investment products and services.
- Support in-house counsel with corporate governance matters and compliance with public company reporting requirements.
- Assist with conducting legal research on new and amended rules and regulations, summarize key highlights, and help formulate organizational response.
- Review corporate policies and procedures and suggest enhancements.
- Assist the team with routine legal matters, including contract management and marketing material review.
- Engage in educational opportunities led by in-house counsel to gain insight on legal functions relating to the company’s registered funds and other onshore and offshore investment products and services.
Minimum Requirements:
- Undergraduate student with expected graduation date in 2026.
- Interest in working in an in-house legal environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
