Job Description
Provides employment law research and support to attorneys. Under the supervision of an attorney, resolves employment law issues requiring specialized program knowledge.

Work Schedule – Onsite, HQ, Dallas Tx.

Job Qualifications
Five years of experience as a paralegal in a law office or five years of transferable corporate experience related to an area of law.

Or

Bachelor's degree and three years of paralegal experience in a law office or transferable corporate experience related to an area of law. Paralegal certificate may be required within 180 days of placement with certain positions.

Degree (one of):
  • BACHELORS DEGREE - Preferred

  • Certificate/License (one of):
  • CERTIFIED PARALEGAL (NO EXPIRATION) - Preferred


  • Major Duties
    Performs independent substantive research from a wide variety of sources, many relating to specialized areas. Uses specialized knowledge and problem-solving methods to investigate, organize a large body of interrelated facts, analyze, and develop evidence effectively and determine use of information from various sources sometimes in conflict.
    Writes, proofs, and/or prepares preliminary drafts including motions, discovery, petitions/settlements, recommendations, briefs, appeals, exhibits, and declarations based on specific legal standards. Prepares response letters for review and approval by the attorney.
    Locates, and may sometimes be required to meet with, associates, potential witnesses, and/or contractors to prepare, provide information, and/or plan/coordinate assignments. Coordinates actions with closely related federal agencies or state or local jurisdictions.
    Provides litigation and administrative support to attorneys such as coordination of briefings for visitors, trials, hearings, depositions, witness interviews, meetings, video teleconference setup, computer and software maintenance, and travel. Coordinates office-wide administrative processes, procedures, and projects such as reporting, file maintenance, records management, pro-card and travel card, library, and on-line training purchases.
    Performs other duties as assigned.
