Job Description
Internal Position Title: Human Resources Mgmt. Spec.
FLSA Status: Exempt
Supervisor: Director of Finance

Salary: Up to $55,000/year, commensurate with experience
Position Description
This position reports to the Director of Finance, providing support related to payroll, ensuring payroll processing, timekeeping, and record keeping activities.
Qualifications
- PeopleSoft Financials experience preferred
- Workday experience preferred
- Proven ability to
- Work both independently and in team environments
- Work accurately and independently on several different tasks simultaneously
- Handle confidential matters with tact and discretion
- Express ideas clearly and concisely
- Exercise good judgment in analyzing situations and making decisions
- Interpret and handle routine matters in accordance with agency policy
- Follow oral and written instructions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Frequent exposure to pressure caused by deadlines and busy periods
- Proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing applications
- Demonstrated customer service experience/skills
Duties
- Enters, maintains, and/or processes information in the payroll system; information may include employee’s hourly rates, salaries, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information.
- Audits timekeeping records for compliance with established standards; maintains time and attendance records; explains laws and rules pertaining to various types of leave.
- Performs a wide variety of record keeping and payroll processing activities, including computing wage and overtime payments, calculating and recording payroll deductions and processing transfers and separations.
- Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.
- Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures, and by reporting needed changes.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping confidential information.
- Other duties as assigned.
