Job Description

Speaks Law Firm is hiring a Legal Assistant to assist with the life cycle of personal injury cases by accurately and efficiently completing assigned administrative duties and maintenance of files.  This is an on-site, full-time position based in our Wilmington office. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Set up new claims with insurance companies
  • Request background checks and court records
  • Support attorneys and case managers with case file maintenance
  • Scan, save, and route incoming mail and faxes
  • Obtain medical records and bills from providers and other third parties
  • Maintain organized physical and digital case files
  • Update information and documents in Neos CMS
  • Provide front desk and reception coverage as needed
  • Attend team meetings as scheduled
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of one (1) year legal administrative experience or equivalent required
  • Associate degree or higher preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proficiency with computers
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and personal injury case processes
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking abilities
  • High attention to detail and a professional work ethic
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to help others
  • Ability to prioritize and drive tasks to completion
Compensation:
The is a full-time hourly position starting at $17.50 depending on experience.
