RH is looking for a Litigation Paralegal or clerk to join our growing legal team. This role will provide assistance to the litigation practice; creating, organizing, and maintaining reports and spreadsheets; preparing and submitting responses to subpoenas; communicating clearly with legal staff; performing special projects as required; and performing other duties as assigned.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee accuracy and necessary follow-up on docket entries
- Support Supervising Attorney with respect to Intellectual Property matters
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Supervising Attorney or other Company officers
- Address and respond to incoming subpoenas and personnel file requests)
- Substantiate and assist with FAS 5 and reserve backup for PwC Audit review
- Support investigations including outside independent investigations
- Gather documents to support litigation defense from internal business partners and transmit to outside counsel per required court format
- Review demand letters and provide standardized responses
- Calendar upcoming litigation deadlines
- Maintain litigation records and documents
- Track document production
- Research litigation procedures concurrent with international expansion
OUR REQUIREMENTS
- Four-year degree or equivalent experience
- At least two years’ experience as a paralegal, clerk, or similar role in the intellectual property practice of a law firm or private industry
- A working knowledge of ecommerce websites, including the structure of websites, URLs, images, and hyperlinks; and experience with conducting complex searches on the Internet, compiling and organizing data, and preparing and submitting takedowns and other submissions to various ecommerce websites
- High proficiency with MS Office applications, specifically Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Willingness and ability to learn and expand skills
- Analytical skills with the ability to think critically
- Strong ability to multitask and ability to meet fast turnaround deadlines
- Strong orientation to detail; strong editing and proofreading abilities
- Cooperative and flexible team-oriented attitude
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
