The Office of the United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut is seeking applications for an Assistant United States Attorney to work in the Financial Litigation Unit (FLU), a unit in the office's Civil Division. This position is located in New Haven, CT.
Duties The Office of the United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut is seeking applications for an Assistant United States Attorney to work in the Financial Litigation Unit (FLU), a unit in the office's Civil Division. The FLU is responsible for enforcement of civil and criminal debts through a variety of remedies available exclusively to the United States. The FLU maintains a large collection caseload and has a robust pre- and post-judgment practice. Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress. Security Requirements: Initial appointment is conditioned upon a satisfactory preemployment adjudication. This includes fingerprint, credit and tax checks, and drug testing. In addition, continued employment is subject to a favorable adjudication of a background investigation. Residency Requirements: Assistant United States Attorneys generally must reside in the district to which he or she is appointed or within 25 miles thereof.
