  • Strong communication skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Experience working with legal professionals, trustees, vendors and financial systems
  • Ability to analyze complex cases and take decisive, compliant actions
  • Detail-oriented, resourceful, and comfortable working independently on time-sensitive matters

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end management of bankruptcy cases and deceased member accounts
  • File and track legal documentation, including Proof of Claims, reaffirmation agreements, and garnishments
  • Coordinate repossessions, auction pricing, and collateral recovery with third-party vendors
  • Make final decisions on collateral disposal strategies and charge-off readiness
  • Work closely with legal counsel and compliance teams to ensure all actions meet regulatory standards
  • Support and mentor Collections Specialists on legal procedures and best practices
  • Prepare monthly reports on charge-offs, legal filings, and recovery efforts
  • Maintain detailed records to support audits and ongoing compliance
