Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, P.A. With more than 110 attorneys, we encompass a broad spectrum of transactional and litigation practice areas for large corporations, small businesses, and governmental entities. We currently have an opening in the Columbia, SC office for an onsite, fulltime Legal Assistant for the Transactional Practice Group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct conflict checks and open new matters.
- Manage legal documents in iManage and prepare closing binders.
- Draft engagement letters and estate planning documents; notarize as needed.
- File with the South Carolina Secretary of State and other authorities.
- Publish legal notices.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate's degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Prior experience as a legal assistant or in a professional services environment, ideally within transactional law.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
