
Senior Litigation Attorney - Wildfires
Singleton Schreiber Llp See More Job Openings by This EmployerWe are seeking a driven Senior Attorney to join our Wildfire Litigation team in San Diego. The ideal candidate will have a background in civil litigation. Previous Wildfire Litigation experience is desired but not required. This role will focus on investigating and litigating cases involving human caused fires of all sizes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on impactful cases within a collaborative team environment.
SALARY: $175,000- $225,000 annually
Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualifications for the role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handle all phases of complex civil litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.
- Assist in developing and executing legal strategies for wildfire and other complex litigation matters including investigating cause and working closely with experts throughout the litigation process.
- Conduct legal research and draft high-quality briefs, motions, and memoranda.
- Possess the skill and experience to operate independently in trials, hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
- Work closely and collaboratively with all team members in developing strategy, executing strategy, and delivering excellent client service.
- Maintain strong communication with clients and ensure timely updates on case developments.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
- 7+ years of civil litigation experience (experience in wildfire, mass tort, or environmental litigation is a plus).
- Strong litigation skills, including deposition and motion practice experience.
- Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
