Workers' Compensation Paralegal

ProspectBlue has partnered with a law firm in Richmond, VA that is looking for a Workers' Compensation Paralegal to join it's team! The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience. This is an in-office position M-F. Competitive salary with bonus potential!

Responsibilities

• Draft and prepare pleadings for filing
• Attend telephone conferences and prepare synopsis memoranda
• Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes
• Draft broker transition documents
• Organize exhibits, documents, briefs and appendices
• Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests
• Gather relevant information from a variety of sources
• Redact information from documents
• Assist in trial preparation by preparing binders, indexing discovery, and preparing trial exhibits
• Prepare witness preparation binders

Skills

• Proven working experience as a workers compensation paralegal
• Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, etc.
• Highly organized with ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong writing and communication skills along with attention to detail
• Extensive computer and database expertise (MS Excel and Word skills necessary)
