Job Description

Description

Position Summary:

MDK is seeking a Technical Program Manager to help drive key initiatives within our Product Development organization. Reporting to the Executive Director of Product and Engineering, this role sits at the intersection of business and technology and supports projects that impact the entire Firm.

The Technical Program Manager ensures that priorities are clear, decisions are grounded in data, and execution delivers meaningful results. This role requires someone who blends leadership, organization, and insight with a bias for action. Success depends on the ability to lead through influence, align diverse contributors, and keep complex initiatives moving with clarity and purpose.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of MDK’s business operations, legal processes, and technology platforms to connect strategy to execution.
  • Lead multiple cross-functional projects that support MDK’s strategic priorities and product development roadmap.
  • Use data to define priorities, set milestones, measure progress, and evaluate outcomes.
  • Establish accountability by defining deliverables, timelines, dependencies, and success metrics across teams.
  • Analyze trends to identify bottlenecks, anticipate risks, and guide decision-making with evidence and transparency.
  • Facilitate collaboration across departments by creating shared understanding, resolving conflicts constructively, and ensuring alignment.
  • Challenge assumptions thoughtfully and contribute informed perspectives that improve quality, efficiency, and impact.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently in executive updates, business reviews, and technical discussions.
  • Lead through influence by motivating individuals and teams who do not report directly to you and building trust across the Firm.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including decisions, actions, and outcomes, to support knowledge sharing.
  • Facilitate retrospectives and lessons-learned sessions to promote continuous improvement.
  • Use modern project management tools—including Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Teams, Power BI, and JIRA—to manage workflows and performance metrics.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, information systems, or a related field.
  • At least five years of project or program management experience in a professional services, legal, or technology environment.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects from initiation through delivery.
  • Experience using data to drive prioritization, decision-making, and performance tracking.
  • Ability to lead through influence by aligning stakeholders, resolving conflicts, and maintaining momentum across departments.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with comfort engaging at all levels of the Firm.
  • High emotional intelligence, adaptability, and steady composure under pressure.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Teams, Power BI, JIRA, and similar tools.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, process improvement, and advancing MDK’s culture of operational excellence.
  • Regular in-office presence is required; schedule may vary based on business needs.
