Employment Type: Part-Time & Full-Time


We are hiring for a client seeking an exceptional Senior Family Law Paralegal to become a key member of a growing and highly respected Florida law firm.

This position is intended for an experienced Family Law Paralegal who can independently manage a busy caseload, anticipate attorney needs, and help move cases efficiently from initial client intake through mediation, hearings, settlement, and trial.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, compassionate with clients, and thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to manage cases with minimal supervision and perform responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • Draft complex Florida Family Law pleadings, motions, notices, petitions, responses, affidavits, proposed orders, and final judgments.
  • Prepare Financial Affidavits, Child Support Guidelines Worksheets, Parenting Plans, Marital Settlement Agreements, and Mandatory Disclosure documents.
  • Draft and respond to discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admissions, subpoenas, and discovery deficiency correspondence.
  • Organize and analyze financial records, bank statements, business records, tax returns, and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare attorneys for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials.
  • Create trial notebooks, exhibit binders, witness lists, evidence summaries, and hearing materials.
  • Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, judicial assistants, mediators, guardians ad litem, experts, and court personnel.
  • Maintain attorney calendars and proactively monitor court deadlines.
  • Electronically file pleadings through the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal.
  • Maintain organized electronic case files and ensure compliance with firm procedures.
  • Assist with client intake and case strategy preparation.
  • Follow cases proactively and identify missing information before deadlines arise.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality while providing exceptional client service.
Required Qualifications
  • Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP) designation
  • Minimum 5 years of recent Florida Family Law Paralegal experience.
  • Must currently reside in Florida.
  • Extensive experience handling contested and uncontested family law matters.
  • Thorough understanding of the Florida Rules of Family Law Procedure.
  • Experience independently drafting family law pleadings with minimal attorney revisions.
  • Experience preparing cases for mediation, evidentiary hearings, and trial.
  • Strong understanding of Florida financial disclosures and child support calculations.
  • Excellent legal writing and proofreading skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple active litigation files simultaneously.
  • Professional, empathetic communication with clients experiencing stressful legal situations.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:

  • Florida Child Dependency proceedings
  • Domestic Violence Injunction cases
  • Adoption matters
  • Special Education (504/IEP) advocacy
  • Case management software such as Clio, MyCase, PracticePanther, Smokeball, or similar
  • Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Microsoft Office 365
