Our growing organization seeks an experienced Paralegal to support our expanding legal and claims operations.

Position Summary

The Paralegal will be instrumental in supporting our legal team with medical billing, claims appeals, dispute resolution, and compliance matters. Your general knowledge of healthcare industry regulations and effective handling of legal documentation will contribute to our strategic approach to managing interactions with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and draft correspondence related to claim disputes, insurance appeals, and compliance issues.
• Support preparation for litigation and administrative proceedings.
• Analyze contracts, denial patterns, and compliance requirements to assist in developing resolution strategies.
• Prepare comprehensive appeal packets and related documentation.
• Maintain case files, manage deadlines, and coordinate with internal departments and external contacts.
• Identify and recommend process improvements based on emerging trends and patterns.

Qualifications

• 3+ year’s experience as a Paralegal, within the healthcare law or health insurance industries.
• Strong research and legal drafting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, demonstrating attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Bachelor's degree and a Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.

Additional Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with billing processes for Substance Abuse and Behavioral Health facilities.
• Experience in healthcare compliance or revenue cycle management.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance standards.
