Job Description
This position is located in the U.S. Department of the Treasury; Departmental Offices (DO); Office of the Deputy Secretary, Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (ODEIA), Office Civil Rights and Equal Employment Opportunity (OCRE). Duties The following are the duties of this position at the GS-13. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position. Conducts comprehensive field technical visits to offices and program recipients. Focuses on issues such as quality of pre-award and post-award compliance reviews, investigations, and compliance measures in general. Reviews systemic factors related to program effectiveness such as compliance practices, workflow, work organization, management, personnel, quality controls and availability of necessary resources, and recommends corrective action as needed. Identifies and proposes resolution of program equal opportunity and compliance problems (programmatic, technical or procedural, including those stemming from contacts, tensions or conflicts with external organizations or interest groups) and coordinates with the program offices to assure uniformity of procedures and interpretations in resolving issues related to the administration of the equal opportunity program. Resolves major fundamental issues arising from civil rights compliance reviews through enforcement of decisions and negotiations with recipients of federal funds when the issues are novel, broad,and highly complex. The issues affect the vital interests of the parties and can be strongly contested. Salary- $84,601 - $156,755/year
