Job Description:

Senior Legal Technology Project Manager

The Role

We are seeking a Senior Legal Technology Project Manager to lead complex, high-impact initiatives that modernize and streamline the Legal Department’s technology landscape. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker and experienced project leader who thrives in a fast-paced law firm or corporate environment and is confident making decisions, managing stakeholders, and driving results.

As an individual contributor within the Legal Technology team, you will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery. This includes discovery and planning, followed by execution and implementation. You will partner closely with Legal stakeholders, our technology partners, and external vendors. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the project, make informed decisions, and serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership. Our team values collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement, with a focus on delivering impactful solutions and supporting professional growth.

  • Help define and implement the legal technology strategic roadmap.
  • Ensure clear communication, alignment, and mutual understanding of goals and requirements.
  • Translate complex legal and business requirements into clear guidance for technology teams, while also making technical solutions understandable and actionable for legal and business partners.
  • Partner with stakeholders to shape project vision and ensure alignment with business priorities.
  • Take initiative to fill gaps, resolve issues, and ensure progress.
  • Solve problems, make informed decisions, and keep projects aligned with business goals.
  • Prioritize work based on value and strategic impact.
  • Collaborate with end users to define testing needs and ensure solutions meet expectations.
  • Create clear documentation, including process maps, test plans, and project deliverables.
  • Define key objectives and use data to guide decisions and measure impact.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with 8+ years of experience leading cross-functional projects and managing vendors in a legal or business technology environment.
  • Demonstrated ownership mindset, with a willingness to take on tasks outside of defined responsibilities to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Strong business analysis skills, including the ability to identify inefficiencies, design scalable solutions, and translate business needs into clear requirements.
  • Skilled in presenting data and insights in a meaningful way to support decision-making and drive initiatives forward, including experience leveraging Power BI.
  • Document management experience with tools such as iManage, NetDocuments, or SharePoint is a plus.
  • Experience with legal technology such as matter management systems, legal hold platforms, and AI-powered search tools is highly valued.
  • Experienced in building strong stakeholder relationships, aligning expectations, and communicating effectively across legal, business, and technical teams.
  • Comfortable working with technical teams and understanding how systems interact, without needing deep technical expertise.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and visual collaboration tools such as Miro, Mural, or Visio for process mapping and documentation.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to connect business goals to project roadmaps, prioritize work, and manage risks.
  • Adaptable and resourceful in navigating ambiguity, shifting priorities, and fast-paced environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority and build trust across diverse teams.
