
The Associate Counsel will be an integral member of the Legal team who will be responsible for preparing, reviewing and negotiating a wide variety of agreements and will provide support on various projects within the Legal department.
This role reports directly into the General Counsel. Based on business and team priorities, the successful candidate should be based in Los Angeles, California, in a hybrid working environment. This role will include three days in-office (El Segundo).
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Draft, negotiate and interpret complex agreements and other legal documents, primarily supporting our US and worldwide events team.
- Assist with the development of template documents, compliance procedures and policies to ensure an effective risk management program
- Stay up to date on industry-wide legal trends, developments and best practices in order to provide counsel and manage legal exposure
- Provide miscellaneous administrative and event day support as needed
- Other duties as assigned by the General Counsel or Senior Management
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5+ years of experience as an attorney practicing general commercial and/or sports and entertainment law
- Law degree from an accredited College/University
- Member of the California bar in good standing
- Experience in Employment Law and/or Data Privacy would be a bonus
- As we operate globally, foreign language skills are a bonus and should be noted along with level of proficiency
- Excellent drafting skills necessary
- Demonstrated ability to develop practical business-minded solutions
- Ability to summarize complex legal concepts and decision points for non-lawyers at all levels of the organization

Salary Range: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 based on relevant experience
