Key Responsibilities:
Client Engagement and Relationship Management:
- Provide prompt, professional, and practical legal advice to clients.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business.
- Respond to client calls and emails within one business day.
- Address urgent client matters promptly and efficiently.
- Collect, review, and manage required documents for case filings.
- Communicate case timelines and provide regular status updates.
- Handle legal inquiries and provide regular status updates.
- Undertake other duties as assigned, including cross-departmental tasks.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Review immigration forms, support letters, invoices, and related documents for accuracy.
- Ensure completeness of case files, verifying that all necessary documents are included.
- Provide detailed instructions and feedback to legal assistants and law clerks.
- Conduct thorough final reviews of applications and petitions before filing.
- Verify invoicing and payment receipt for services.
- Assign tasks to support staff and offer ongoing guidance and oversight.
- Maintain the security of original documents and ensure their proper return to clients.
- Assign task to Legal Assistant/Law Clerk, offer, offering guidance and support.
Database & Case Management
- Maintain up-to-date case records in the firm's database.
- Monitor case programs, identifying and resolving delays.
- Track processing times, missing receipt notices, and any errors in case approvals.
- Encourage client to use utilize the firm's LIBERTY portal for streamlined case tracking.
Professional Development and Engagement:
- Attend monthly networking events to build professional connections.
- Participate in and contribute to immigration law webinars.
- Write articles on immigration law topics for publication.
- Engage in social media efforts to enhance the firm's presence in the immigration law community.
