Essential Job Duties:
- Provide leadership, advice, and counsel on legal disputes involving the company, including those related to employment, contractual breach, injury, and other corporate matters
- Consistently analyze and mitigate complex contractual risk, while increasing efficiency and consistency in contracting.
- Coordinate communications between outside counsel and the Company’s senior management in relation to all matters in which the company is being assisted by outside counsel
- Coordinate the assembly of information, documents, and witnesses needed by the company in defense of or in pursuit of various legal claims and actions
- Assist with Litigation Hold, e-discovery, and document management program oversight
- Oversee the Company’s responses to subpoenas and other requests for probative documents or records.
- Collaborate with Counsel and internal business clients to share best practices, implement risk management strategies, craft negotiation strategy and follow corporate directives, policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate the ability and willingness to work under time-sensitive deadlines and be productive in fast-paced environments with multiple competing priorities.
- Research, analyze and keep current on legal issues and laws, legislation, regulations and court decisions affecting the real estate industry and real estate service providers.
- Perform other related duties as required or requested.
Education/Experience/Training:
- J.D. from a leading law school required
- Combination of private practice and in-house experience preferred
- Bar admission in good standing
- Requires 3 to 7 years of experience
