inKind is seeking a business-minded Senior Legal Counsel to support the company’s legal, regulatory, and compliance functions during a critical phase of growth. This role will serve as a key legal advisor to leadership and cross-functional teams, providing practical, solutions-oriented counsel across a broad range of corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.
You will partner closely with executives and operational leaders to assess risk, structure transactions, and ensure compliance while enabling innovation and growth. This position requires strong independent judgment, comfort operating in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, actionable guidance.
The Senior Legal Counsel will also collaborate with outside counsel, ensuring advice is aligned with business realities and delivered efficiently.

- Provide timely, practical legal counsel to leadership and cross-functional teams on matters including (but not limited to): commercial contracts, contract enforcement proceedings, bankruptcy, employment law, partnerships, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including: vendor contracts, partnership agreements, client agreements, litigation filingsfinancing documents, NDAs, and service agreements
- Support employment-related matters, including policy development and compliance guidance
- Assist with corporate governance, board materials, and entity management
- Help identify and mitigate legal risks by contributing to the development and implementation of company policies and procedures
- Monitor relevant legislative and regulatory developments affecting the business
- Partner with finance and executive teams on corporate transactions, including debt/equity financings and strategic partnerships
- Coordinate with and manage outside counsel as needed to ensure cost-effective and high-quality legal support
- Provide clear interpretation of contractual language and regulatory requirements across the organization
- Any other responsibilities and duties that may reasonably fall within the scope of a senior-level legal role
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree
- 6–10+ years of legal experience
- Experience in a technology company, startup, fintech, marketplace, or high-growth environment
- Strong background in commercial contracts and corporate law
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex legal matters independently
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Combination of law firm and in-house experience
- Experience in a consumer marketplace or financial services environment
- Familiarity with employment law and regulatory compliance frameworks
- Exposure to mergers & acquisitions, venture financing, or structured credit transactions
- Multi-state bar admission
- Business education or formal finance exposure a plus

Salary:
- $180,000 - $200,000 base DOE
