Job Description:

The successful applicant for this position will design, implement, and maintain infrastructure solutions across multiple data centers. You will collaborate with various departments within IT and Information Security to ensure solutions adhere to industry best practices and align with business objectives. With your skills and experience, you will leverage automation to boost the productivity of the IaaS department and, where possible, employ cloud management techniques to manage data center systems efficiently.

*This is a hybrid-office position and requires a minimum of 2 days in office per week in either Minnetonka, MN, or Orlando, FL.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

With general direction, responsible to:

•Provision, manage, monitor, test, and decommission services.

•Stay current on assigned technical concepts; model and enforce best practices.

•Evaluate, plan and implement medium- and large-sized projects.

•Apply knowledge of the corporate network, infrastructure systems, CI/CD pipelines and possess broad scripting and troubleshooting skills.

•Document and resolve complex problems.

•Report progress to leaders.

•Other duties as assigned or required.

EXPERTISE:

• Competent to work in all phases of engineering including troubleshooting and projects; always takes the implications of changes to the current technical environment into consideration before acting.

EXPERIENCE:

Typically has 3-7 years of relevant experience.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Windows Server Operating System and related services

  • Active Directory Design and administration for a multi-domain environment

  • DNS/DHCP/DFS/GPO design and administration

  • VMWare Administration

  • SAN and NAS design principles

  • Azure IaaS

  • Advanced Microsoft PowerShell Scripting

  • Infrastructure Automation

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field; or equivalent work experience.

Communication and Interpersonal skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects and prioritize effectively.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • At a minimum, the ability to work from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

  • Consistent attendance is required, which may include attendance at after-hour Company events.

  • Ability to accept supervision.

  • Ability to foster, develop and maintain professional and collaborative working relationships. Must be able to get along with others, i.e., peers, supervisors, outside customers, and vendors.

  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of management, employees and customers by email, phone, video conferences and in person. 

  • Must be a personable, positive, and professional representative of the company.

  • Ability to work overtime as requested and approved by supervisor.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.

Sedentary work:  The majority of activity in this position involves sedentary work including sitting, standing, walking and the occasional need to lift or move objects.
