Legal/Commercial Analyst Intern

Relationships:

• Interacts on a daily basis with executive management of the Company as well as mid-level management regarding various commercial, operational and strategic interests of the Company.

Responsibilities:

• Performs all tasks safely, complies with all internal and external safety requirements, supports ITRCC safety culture, attends all safety trainings and completes all compliance trainings as required by ITRCC.

• The CCLO is responsible for the Legal and Compliance Department to oversee the legal, compliance, risk management, claims, internal audit, and insurance aspects of the business.

• Working with CFO, ensures legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions and risk management requirements.

• Manages the advanced strategic planning and active administration of the annual legislative session, with a view to protecting and promoting the Company’s interests.

• Working with internal and external stakeholders to identify, develop and implement a pipeline of development and administrative value-accretive opportunities for the business.

• Advises and leads negotiation and execution of ITR’s financing activities and oversees ITR’s compliance of its various loan agreements.

• Represents the Company to key stakeholders including public officials, Board, shareholders, and financial institutions.

• Leads management of the Company’s annual business and strategic planning activities.

• Provides commercial and operational oversight of travel plaza leases following handoff from CFO.

Qualifications:

• Post graduate education, JD, and/or MBA

• Excellent organizational and management skills

• 7- 10 years relevant experience

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Desirable Experience:

• Experience as an in-house General Counsel supporting a project or business of a similar scale.

• Prior experience working in a private-sector environment with private equity or pension fund ownership.

• Exposure to a business within the infrastructure asset-class.

• Experience in delivering a negotiated outcome in a P3 environment.

• Experience in leading and negotiating major refinancing activities.

• Demonstrated leadership ability, team management and interpersonal skills
