Fennemore has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Civil Litigation Paralegal to join our Spokane, Washington office. This is a full-time, in-office position with a standard expectation of four days per week onsite and the potential for hybrid flexibility.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Paralegal registered with the Spokane County Bar Association who values strong client relationships and precision in their work. They should be highly organized, empathetic, and capable of handling sensitive matters with professionalism.
Responsibilities:
- Frequent client communication and comprehensive file management
- Preparing schedules, pleadings, and other court documents
- Drafting and filing legal documents
- Assisting attorneys with civil litigation, estate planning, probate, estate administration, and real estate matters
- Presenting stipulated orders and other pleadings on an ex parte basis
- Reviewing, coding, organizing, and preparing document productions
- Handling electronic court filings (state and federal), including preparation of materials
- Creating and maintaining detailed case chronologies
- Supporting motion, trial preparation, and proceedings
- Managing and organizing case evidence, including electronic databases
- Coordinating communication with clients and external parties
- Performing additional tasks as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a civil litigation paralegal, preferably in a law firm or in-house legal department
- Spokane County Bar Association Registered Paralegal preferred, but not required (but must be able to obtain Registered Paralegal status within one month)
- Estate Planning and Probate experience preferred, but not required
- Strong knowledge of civil litigation rules and procedures, including court filing processes
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively
- Conscientious and proactive, with a thoughtful approach to task and workload management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management software
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the firm and with clients and outside professionals
