The Technology Program Manager is an integral part of Latham’s Technology & Information Services team and will be responsible for ensuring projects and programs adhere to department project management methodology with consistent high quality, while building and maintaining strong working relationships with Technology Directors to support programs and projects that satisfy firm business needs. This role will be located in our Global Services Office in Downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Developing, maintaining, and training team members in department project management methodology and tools, encompassing project intake, milestone development, stakeholder management, communication plans, progress tracking, risk mitigation, issue logs, deployment, and project handoff to support
- Ensuring project management activities meet requestors' and sponsors' expectations, making adjustments as needed to maintain consistency in service delivery by team members
- Maintaining project roadmaps with reporting to provide status updates, identify risks, propose mitigation plans, and enhance awareness of project performance
- Managing interdependencies between projects within the program, ensuring effective collaboration towards program objectives
- Monitoring and reporting on benefits realization as defined by program goals, recommending adjustments to program strategy to maximize value delivery to the Manager of Technology – Project Management Services and Technology Directors
- Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Possess excellent leadership skills (i.e., team-building, project planning & execution, change & risk management) necessary for effective management
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of program and project management principles and the ability to apply them to complex, long-term projects
- Display advanced ability to perceive and analyze problems and develop alternative strategies to solve them
And have:
- A high school diploma or an equivalent
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Engineering, Management, or a related field, preferably
- A PMP or Prince2 Practitioner certification, with technical certifications in related areas, preferably
- A minimum of ten (10) years of project management experience and a minimum of five (5) years of management experience
