Responsibilities
- You will serve as a Complaint Analyst to timely review, analyze, and process complaints received by the Agency.
- You will conduct legal research and utilize critical thinking skills to determine if a licensing violation has been implicated and/or if an investigation should be initiated according to applicable laws and regulations.
- You will prepare responses and legal justification to a complainant if the complaint was not assigned for an investigation and/or refer the complainant to the appropriate authorities if the complaint is outside of the Agency’s jurisdiction.
- You will communicate with the public regarding the complaint intake process and respond to inquiries received.
- You will update all complaint activities and supporting documentation within the applicable Agency systems and tracking mechanisms.
- You will perform other duties as assigned such as participating in special projects, gathering statistical data, analyzing data, and compiling reports.
- Minimum and Additional Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience.
- A Juris Doctorate and/or legal and regulatory experience.
- Excellent critical thinking skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply laws, policies, and procedures.
- Knowledge of legal processes and ability to conduct legal research.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient use of computer programs and software.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Position works in an office environment with extended periods of sitting and standing.
- Occasional work outside of normal office hours.
- May be required to lift, carry, move and/or position objects weighing up to 20 lbs.
- Daily filing, data entry, telephone and computer use.
