Paralegal

What You'll Do: 

• Draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery, motions, orders, and notices. 
• Schedule and maintain case calendars. 
• Research complex issues using Westlaw.  
• Investigate legal matters, including fact checks, witness interviews, and summarization. 
• Manage document production and trial prep, including notebooks, exhibits, and case law cite checks. 
• File pleadings, motions, and other documents. 
• Review and summarize depositions, medical records, and other documents 
• Coordinate and utilize firm resources to achieve client goals. 

What You Bring:

• 3 to 5 years of paralegal experience 
• Paralegal certificate or undergraduate degree 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite, including excel, word, and powerpoint 
• Experience capturing and recording billable time 
• A high degree of detail and organization 
• Exhibits a client focus at all times
• Experience reviewing and summarizing records 
• Demonstrates ability to work both independently and collaboratively  
• Drive and personal initiative 

Physical Requirements: 

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.  
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 10 lbs. at times.  
• Occasionally, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
