Do You Qualify?
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in Idaho (or ability to obtain licensure quickly).
- 3+ years of relevant civil legal experience, preferably in government or public sector.
- Eligible to practice in all Idaho state and federal courts.
- Must have (or be able to obtain) a valid driver’s license and be insurable.

What You’ll do:
- Advise County departments and officials on civil legal matters and risk management.
- Represent the County in litigation, appeals, and administrative proceedings.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ordinances, and other legal documents.
- Attend public meetings and provide real-time legal guidance.
- Train County staff on legal compliance, ethics, and records management.
- Collaborate with outside counsel and insurers on complex litigation.
- You are willing to work evenings, weekends, and be on-call when necessary
