Description

Joye Law Firm is a growing plaintiff's firm serving South Carolina. The Office Services Specialist assists all members of the firm by delivering administrative support and exceptional customer service to internal and external customers at all times by performing the following duties.


Open, date stamp and distribute mail daily.

Provides backup assistance to answer calls missed by the intake call center.

Manages the front desk maintaining a clean and orderly work area.

Welcomes clients and visitors and assisting them with requests. 

Monitors and stocks all copy areas making sure the machines are filled with paper and extra reams of paper are available. Also monitors and stocks envelopes, certified mailers, labels for label maker, etc.

Monitor and order supplies as necessary.

Stock and shelve in the appropriate areas all office supplies, food, and other items.

Run errands as assigned.

Performs other duties as assigned.


The schedule for this position is 8:30 am to 5:30 with a 1-hour lunch break. The office closes at 4:00 on Fridays.

Qualifications:

Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.


Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Outlook, Needles Case Management software and Worldox.


Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience. The individual must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
