Job Summary:
This technical-functional IT role is closely aligned with the Legal department functions in support of Legal systems best practice, usage, and requirements. This role will partner closely with the project teams and assist Legal and IT with management of project deliverables and transition to production support. This role will work with vendors and internal resources to deliver system integrations. The Legal systems Engagement Lead will support testing activities and documentation to ensure a quality and maintainable solution. responsible for working closely with the functional Legal teams to ensure delivered systems are aligned with the evolving needs of the function.
The Legal systems Engagement Lead will work directly with the global Legal teams to ensure requirements are understood, gaps are closed, drive digital adoption, and advocate priorities within the technical workstreams. This role requires full consideration to ensure requirements are delivered via application configuration standards, requirements are optimized, and opportunities to streamline the supported solution are leveraged.
The Legal systems Engagement Lead will ensure all required SDLC activities are executed via ServiceNow. This role will be responsible for assisting with production support activities in terms of knowledge and quality reviews.
Responsibilities
- Heavy system administration during critical activities.
- Primary technical engagement and system support for the inventory of legal systems.
- During project cycles, actively participate in system design sessions, advocate for quality design, and manage deliverables to ensure project milestone dates are achieved.
- Strong participation and COE leadership of enhancement, upgrade, and critical functional cycles to ensure timely launch and quality delivery of these activities.
- Partner with members of IT operations, Compliance Teams, and Legal department Functional Stakeholders in ensuring solutions are aligned within the enterprise delivery principles.
- Partner with production support team to ensure full process support, alignment, and cohesive execution.
- Document and create SOPs in support of organization processes including reoccurring system cycles, etc.
- Work closely with IT Project Managers and support project-based activities, where needed.
- Regularly seek out and participate in vendor-provided learning opportunities to keep systems skills current.
- Responsible in ensuring any Application Managed Services teams are following all required security and Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) protocols as set forth by CooperVision.
- Provide guidance on configuration principles, data structures, and support audit and compliance areas.
- Responsible for selected documentation creation and management.
- Provide system configuration and user guidance, based upon set design principles.
- Interpret functional requirements into design requirements.
- Support the user testing process, ranging from staging, support, and participation.
- Support the legal team in ensuring the training team is supported with configured environments and the supporting test data.
- Manage intakes and SDLC ServiceNow tickets for all operational-delivered updates.
Travel Requirements:
Expected travel is less than 10%
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Subject matter expert with legal systems including but not limited to billing and contract lifecycle management
- Systems development lifecycle experience required
- Global systems implementation experience a plus
- IT SOX experience a plus
- Work across organizational boundaries to document and develop functional and technical specifications and support for the design, development, testing, and maintenance of new processes
- Intimate knowledge of existing processes in their functional areas. Additionally, knowledge of the information that is required for cross-functional processes will be required.
- Strong business analysis skills required
- Excellent knowledge of the business enterprise functions and processes
- Ability to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels of the organization
- Ability to triage and prioritize requirements and advocate for the customer

Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in legal systems support and/or Implementations
- Commensurate technical and functional experience to perform required job duties
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office
Education:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience is preferred
- Legal systems certifications, a plus
- Project Management certifications, a plus

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $132,813.00 and $177,084.00 per year and may include cost of living adjustments. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
