Legal Counsel – SKF Automotive Business
To our newly shaped Global Legal Operations team, we are seeking an experienced and business driven Legal Counsel. As part of our global legal team, you will be responsible for providing strategic and day to day legal advice to SKF (Insert legal entity) and all other SKF entities in (Insert region) in close collaboration with legal colleagues around the globe. This responsibility also includes supporting the local organizations to ensure that SKF, its employees and business partners comply with all relevant laws and regulations in (Insert region).
Your contributions will be vital in supporting our business and ensuring we navigate the complex legal and compliance landscape with confidence.
Responsibilities:

Providing legal advice: Provide accurate, relevant, business centric and timely advice on a variety of legal topics.

Contracts and Documents: Draft, review, evaluate, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents and templates.

Litigation: Manage litigation, and manage and coordinate the work of outside counsels.

Support in large and complex projects: Manage legal issues related to large and complex projects, including restructuring projects and M&A.

Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations, providing strategic guidance on compliance matters, including the development and maintenance of the companies’ ethics and compliance programs.

Training: Develop, coordinate and provide legal and compliance training to relevant SKF employees.

Collaboration: Cooperate closely with other members of the global legal community as well as also with business stakeholders.
Requirements:

Master of Laws (LL.M) or equivalent legal degree from a recognized institution.

Minimum of 6 years of experience in commercial law practicing both at a recognized law firm and within a multinational company.

Proven track record in managing complex legal matters and providing strategic legal advice.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated interest in legal technology and driving efficiencies within the legal function.

Strong proficiency in business English and [insert local language], including both written and verbal communication.
