Job Description

This position serves as a Supervisory Physical Security Specialist, Technical Security Section, Justice Protective Service, Security and Emergency Planning Staff, which is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining department wide policy and security programs.

Duties The duties and responsibilities for a Supervisory Physical Security Specialist, GS-0080-14 generally include, but are not limited to, the following: Develop, implement, and maintain department wide policy and security programs. Perform the administrative and human resource management functions relative to the staff supervised. Serve as technical authority regarding the regulatory impact on sensitive or evolving physical security programs. Identify key policy issues and priorities, design analyses, evaluate alternative agency strategies, and make definitive recommendations to senior management. Review new or revised legislation or regulations for impact on physical security programs. Direct the full range of security contract administration actions. Salary

Qualifications To qualify for the position of Supervisory Physical Security Specialist, at GS-0080-14, you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or equivalent band in the Federal service, which includes: Performing the administrative and human resource management functions relative to the staff supervised; Reviewing new or revise legislation or regulations for impact on physical security programs; Conducting physical security surveys and/or inspections. You MUST meet all qualification requirements, including time-in-grade, by the 10/20/2026 of this announcement.
