
Job Description
Elam & Burke, P.A. is currently seeking a full-time Legal Assistant to join our dynamic and fast-paced civil litigation team.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in civil litigation.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Professionally manage client communications and maintain confidentiality.
- Maintain and coordinate attorney calendars, including court dates and filing deadlines.
- Draft, format, and proofread legal documents with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Handle electronic and physical file management.
- Provide cross-functional support to other practice areas as needed.
Required Skills
- Excellent organization and time management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Meticulous proofreading and document production abilities.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Professional demeanor and a strong focus on client service.
Additional Requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, transcription, and electronic filing.
- Familiarity with legal case management software, e-discovery tools, and insurance defense is preferred.
