Position in Brief
Westland Real Estate Group, a dynamic and growing real estate company, is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join our in-house legal team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of handling a wide range of litigation matters from inception to resolution. This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your litigation expertise in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and contribute to the company's continued success.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of litigation matters, including:
- Case assessment and strategy development
- Drafting and responding to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Conducting legal research and analysis
- Negotiating settlements
- Representing the company in court hearings and trials (if necessary)
- Provide legal counsel and guidance to internal stakeholders on a variety of litigation-related issues
- Collaborate with outside counsel as needed
- Stay abreast of legal developments and industry trends
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active member in good standing of the California State Bar
- 10+ years of litigation experience, preferably in-house or at a reputable law firm
- Strong knowledge of real estate law and related areas
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills
