You will serve as a trusted point of contact throughout the life of a case, conduct in-depth legal research and draft motions, and play an active role in trial preparation. What You Will Do
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients through all stages of their matter
- Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and other substantive legal documents
- Assist attorneys with all phases of trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, preparing witness materials, and coordinating logistics
- Independently manage complex family law cases under attorney supervision
- Prepare correspondence, court filings, and legal documents with precision
- Maintain calendars, deadlines, and case files with meticulous attention to detail
- Perform e-filing and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures
- Compile, analyze, and summarize case data and discovery materials
- Utilize legal software and databases to manage matters efficiently
What You Bring
- 5+ years of family law paralegal experience — this is a must
- Demonstrated ability to draft motions and conduct legal research
- Experience with trial preparation and courtroom support
- Exceptional client communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism
- Strong e-filing experience and knowledge of court procedures
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software
- Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines independently
- Associate's degree required; paralegal certificate or Bachelor's degree preferred
