Location: Spartanburg, SC | Full-Time | Fully Onsite
Launch your legal career… or take it to the next level with American Credit Acceptance (ACA). We're seeking a Legal Analyst to join our dynamic Legal Department, where you'll play a key role in supporting in supporting business licensing, legal operations, transactional matters, contracts, regulatory initiatives, and law change management.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage the day-to-day needs of ACA’s business license platform including:
    • Preparing and filing documents relating to ACA’s licenses.
    • Managing license due dates and prepare licensing-related reporting, as needed.
    • Interfacing with other departments, executive-level individuals, and regulatory entities.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on federal and state laws impacting consumer finance.
  • Track and summarize legislative and regulatory changes to support ACA’s Law Change Management program.
  • Draft, review, and edit legal documents, memos, and internal communications.
  • Support legal operations by improving processes, organizing legal data, and managing documentation workflows.
  • Respond to internal and external legal inquiries, including subpoenas and regulatory requests.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure legal compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain flexibility and assist with other duties as assigned.
 What You Bring
  • 1+ year of demonstrated experience in a legal analyst, paralegal, legal operations or legal support role (consumer finance experience a plus).
  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in legal studies, paralegal studies, or a related field (Paralegal certification preferred).
  • Strong business judgment and intuition, supported by exceptional research and analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (advanced knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel) and legal research tools.

  • Ambitious and confident in setting goals, finding solutions, taking initiative, and overcoming obstacles to achieve success.
  • Receptive to feedback and directions, with strong organizational and time management skills.
