The Role:The Center for the American Future launches legal challenges at the administrative, district, and appellate court levels on behalf of ordinary people whose lives, liberty, and property are threatened by government action in defiance of the Constitution. The Litigation Outreach Coordinator keeps the litigation team organized and moving while also supporting the Director in developing a pipeline of potential constitutional case opportunities. This role will liaise with TPPF’s Engagement team to help surface strong potential pro-bono clients/plaintiffs and connect with grassroots partners.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Case Opportunity Support
Help manage a pipeline of potential cases and clients/plaintiffs aligned with the Center’s strategic priorities.
Coordinate inbound case inquiries—collecting initial information, routing appropriately, and ensuring timely follow-up.
Maintain organized records and support basic intake materials, in coordination with attorneys and the Director.
Engagement Liaison
Coordinate with the Engagement team to identify and develop new opportunities through activist networks, partners, and community channels.
Support outreach: drafting emails, tracking conversations, scheduling calls, and maintaining contact lists.
Assist in organizing occasional briefings, webinars, or stakeholder meetings that help surface strong potential plaintiffs and constitutional conflicts.
Litigation Team Operations
Provide day-to-day operational and administrative support to the Director of Litigation: scheduling, meeting prep, notes, follow-ups, travel coordination, and expense processing.
Maintain team operations: calendars, deadlines, task tracking, document organization, and basic reporting.
Coordinate logistics for case-related meetings and communications (with appropriate discretion and confidentiality).
Help standardize and maintain workflows (intake tracking, status updates, internal handoffs).
Qualifications:
A deep commitment to the principles of liberty, personal responsibility, and free enterprise.
1-3 years of relevant experience (operations, administrative support, communications, grassroots/advocacy, nonprofit work, or legal support). Strong internships or campus leadership may substitute.
Exceptional organization and follow-through; able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; professional presence / public speaking with partners and constituents.
Comfortable with travel across Texas as needed.
High integrity and discretion—comfortable working with sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality.
A self-starter mindset: proactive, solutions-oriented, and eager to learn.
Familiarity with CRMs, spreadsheets, and project management tools is a plus.
