The RoleBlock is looking for a highly engaged regulatory counsel with experience in commercial lending and consumer loan products. You will report to the US Lending Regulatory Counsel Lead and support across Block and its subsidiaries.
You Will- Provide legal and regulatory advice on commercial lending and consumer protection laws, including Reg E, Reg B, FCRA, MLA, SCRA, GLBA, UDAAP.
- Conduct state-level licensing research, fee cap analysis, regulatory mapping.
- Summarize and analyze the impact of new and proposed rules and regulations.
- Review and provide legal input on service agreements, disclosures, and marketing materials to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Develop formal project plans and timelines that follow external requests, objectives, and deadlines.
- Collaboratively establish timelines and ensure they are met.
- 6+ years experience at a law firm (with lending advisory experience), financial services regulatory agency, bank partnership experience or in-house experience.
- Experience with FinTech, lending and banking issues.
- High degree of comfort and fluency with computers and technology, and understanding of how technology is applied to business and regulatory problems
- JD and an active membership and good standing with Bar of resident state and/or the California Bar or New York Bar
