A Brief Overview
Responsible for the collection and litigation of patient accounts using professional collection techniques and utilizing the most effective legal procedures.
What you will do
- Analyze patient account portfolios to determine the appropriate legal action to take.
- Utilize judgment and experience to determine if lawsuit will be filed on accounts, track claims cases, and issue/reissue garnishments as needed.
- Make outbound calls and receive incoming calls as needed to Attorney's, Sheriff's, Clerk of Courts office in appropriate counties, and debtors.
- Utilize professional debt collection techniques to collect patient accounts.
- Maximize collections while maintaining the highest degree of professionalism.
- Use skip-tracing techniques within the guidelines provided by the Litigation Manager.
- Prepare accounts for the appropriate legal action while adhering to state and federal laws.
- Counsel patients with respect to making sound financial decisions.
- Understand and apply the laws and regulations governing the debt collection industry.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
- 1-3 years experience in collections
Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
- 1-3 years third party collections experience
