Job Description

Position Title:          Marketing Coordinator                                           
 
FLSA Status:           Non-Exempt
Position Summary:  The Marketing Coordinator will support the initiatives of the Marketing Department, reporting directly to the CMO. This role offers the right candidate an opportunity to contribute to a variety of marketing, communications and business development initiatives in a collaborative environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Report out monthly statistics for website and social media traffic, engagement, and lead generation and suggest ideas for optimization
  • Develop effective collateral and marketing content, including capability/office profiles, web content, attorney biographies, as well as a broad range of print and electronic communications, including invitations and announcements for the offices, attorneys and groups the position supports
  • Maintains a social media marketing editorial calendar with targeted topics outlined for different dates, as well as plans for where and how that content will be shared
  • Working with the CMO, manage targeting and business generating initiatives, including evaluating potential new business opportunities with both clients and prospects and working with attorneys to identify target criteria
  • Assist in keeping department records up to date, including departmental procedure How-To’s, and various tracking spreadsheets per initiative, assist with various administrative tasks including invoice processing and tracking
  • Assists in the deployment of programs and events hosted/sponsored by the firm, such as teleconferences, webinars, seminars, and other events, including the development and production of marketing materials and on-site logistics.
  • Assist in coordinating and executing attorney participation in marketing profile-raising events
  • Develops relationships with attorneys to serve as point of contact for day-to-day requests and marketing and business development needs
  • Assist in compilation of Surveys and Submissions and related award nominations and update related tracking documents
  • Identifies, evaluates, and makes recommendations for firm/attorney participation in sponsorships, conferences, tradeshows, speaking and writing opportunities, and similar events. Coordinates activities (RSVPs, promotional products, advertising, presentation slides, etc.) as needed. Promotes speaking engagements as appropriate
  • Conducts various research projects used for business development efforts, including company and industry research, pursuit lists, and competitive intelligence
  • Partner with the recruiting team to ensure appropriate and relevant content related to the firm's diversity & inclusion work is presented on external channels
  • Serve as the point of contact for charitable organizations and sponsorships, ensuring payments are made, promotional items are provided and the full range of sponsorship opportunities are fulfilled
  • Participate in educational opportunities to continue learning about both the legal industry and marketing opportunities
  • Support CMO in other marketing department and firm initiatives as directed
  • Provide back-up services to the team on an as-needed basis
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and other creative publishing tools
  • Experience working in or familiarity with CRM systems a plus
  • Experience working in WordPress a plus

Education:
  • An undergraduate degree (required), preferably in a marketing, business, or communications-related field. 
 
Experience (preferred):
  • Minimum of one to three years related experience with a demonstrated success in a marketing, business, and/or communications-related field, either in the professional services (e.g., law, accounting, or consulting) or in a comparable position(s) in a financial institution or the corporate, trade association, or academic sectors
