Raleigh - Labor & Employment Associate

The Raleigh office of Fisher Phillips is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate with 3–7 years of experience to join our growing team. Ideal candidates will have a strong foundation in litigation and an interest in representing employers in labor and employment matters. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced partners while managing substantive case responsibilities, contributing to case strategy, and engaging directly with clients.

About the Role

Qualified candidates will have experience handling litigation matters from inception through resolution, including:

• Drafting and responding to pleadings
• Managing written and electronic discovery, including e-discovery strategy
• Drafting and arguing dispositive and non-dispositive motions
• Taking and defending depositions
• Participating in mediations

Associates will have opportunities to work on a broad range of labor and employment matters, including litigation and advice and counseling. Prior labor and employment experience is preferred, but we also welcome candidates from other defense-side complex litigation practices who demonstrate a strong interest in developing a labor and employment practice and contributing to firm growth.

• Excellent academic credentials
• Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
• The ability to manage multiple complex matters with a level of independence appropriate to their experience
• A collaborative mindset, empathy for teammates, and a strong commitment to client service
• Admission to the North Carolina Bar is required
