GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
This position provides clerical support for one to two deputy prosecutors; responsible for Circuit Court; required to answer telephone calls and respond to in person public inquiries regarding a variety of issues related to the criminal justice system as needed or directed
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acts as a case coordinator for 1-2 attorneys.
- Maintains contact with victims, witnesses and law enforcement.
- Provides follow up assistance including court date notification to victims.
- Assists victims with registering with VINE and filling out reparation applications.
- Administers ACIC reports and findings.
- Prepares transport orders for court proceedings.
- Attends court with victims and answers court related questions.
- Checks warrant status on current defendants.
- Communicates with court officials and defense attorneys on behalf of deputy prosecutor.
- Requests evidence for trial, makes sure files are complete.
- Coordinates calendars with attorneys, defense counsel and witnesses.
- Researches prior convictions.
- Fields phone calls.
- Responds to discovery motions.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Technical degree required in such disciplines as Computer Engineering, CPA, etc., plus 3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Periodically exposed to such elements as noise, intermittent standing, walking, pushing, carrying, or lifting; but none are present to the extent of being disagreeable.
