Join the Control Functions Legal team, which provides legal support to the Consumer and Community Bank (CCB) Control Functions, including Control Management, Compliance, Risk, and Audit. As a Paralegal III on the Control Functions Legal team, you will be a key contributor to CCB’s legal and regulatory change management process. You will prepare and publish the weekly Legal Updates Report, which is shared with the entire CCB Legal Department. Your attention to detail will be crucial as you review technical details in Regulatory Events, maintain the accuracy of our monitoring methods, and generate regulatory development metrics. You will facilitate communication and coordination within CCB Legal by preparing and sharing information about audits, compliance tests, regulatory exams, and new business initiatives. Job responsibilities
- Prepare and Publish Weekly Legal Updates Report to keep the CCB Legal Department informed of recent regulatory developments.
- Submit state law regulatory developments to the Office of Legal Obligations (OLO) for Regulatory Event Notice (REN) consideration and review and communicate outcomes to the team manager.
- Create reports and metrics on regulatory developments to help the team identify trends and make informed decisions.
- Conduct initial reviews for confidential supervisory information (CSI) and apply necessary redactions under the supervision of an attorney.
- Prepare and circulate calendars for upcoming audits, compliance tests, and regulatory exams, and report on new business initiatives to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide other support to the team and our clients, including assisting the team with special research projects and preparing responses to inquiries from regulators, internal audit, and compliance.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Minimum 3 years of paralegal experience.
- Excellent analytical and legal research skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team; takes ownership of responsibilities, collaborates well, and proactively solves problems.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work intelligently in a fast-paced, complex business environment.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience or interest in consumer banking, financial services regulations, and/or financial services litigation.
- Knowledge of state legislative and regulatory processes.
- Experience with regulatory compliance preferred.
- Experience with Westlaw or similar services.
- Knowledge of artificial intelligence / large language model prompt engineering.
- Technological mindset/background and a willingness to learn.
- Comfort working with Excel.
