This position is available in our New York City, Long Island or White Plains office.
This position offers a flexible, hybrid working arrangement.
We are actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Attorney with at least 3 years of experience to join our high-performing litigation team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to defend complex cases in general liability, premises liability, personal injury, tort claims, and a variety of other areas. With an emphasis on client-focused service, this position offers a collaborative and dynamic environment that encourages professional growth and the opportunity to gain exposure to a broad range of legal matters.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage a litigation caseload, working cases from beginning to end
- Work closely with other attorneys and partners on legal projects
- Regularly handle court appearances and depositions
- Communicate with clients and provide status reports
Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice in New York
- 3-8 years litigation experience, including general liability, personal injury, premises liability, and insurance defense.
- Experience in trucking-related litigation, construction/labor law, and/or transportation matters is highly preferred.
- Understanding of NY Construction Law (Labor Law §§200, 240, 241) and experience with OSHA proceedings are a plus.
- Ability to integrate into a fast-team-oriented oriented environment
- Legal project management experience is helpful
Wilson Elser offers a competitive salary and benefits package designed to support our attorneys both professionally and personally.
A variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, other business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law. This position is also eligible for discretionary bonuses. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. This position is considered full-time and therefore qualifies for benefits including 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
Salary Range:
$150,000 - $190,000 USD
