Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and experienced Litigation Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in civil litigation—from discovery through trial—and be comfortable managing a caseload independently while working in a collaborative environment. Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a docket of civil litigation cases from intake to resolution, including employment law, personal injury, and business litigation.
- Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, settlement negotiations, and trial.
- Appear in state and federal courts as well as administrative agencies.
- Conduct legal research and draft high-quality memoranda, motions, and briefs.
- Collaborate with legal support staff and partners to ensure deadlines and litigation strategies are executed efficiently.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and provide strategic legal counsel throughout the litigation process.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Texas.
- 3+ years of litigation experience (employment law, torts, or civil rights cases preferred).
- Strong writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
- Experience with case management systems and litigation software.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritize tasks, and work independently.
- Trial experience (first or second chair).
- Experience with cases involving sexual harassment, assault, or civil rights.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
- Experience working in a plaintiff-side or mission-driven firm.
