Immigration Associate Attorney

Van Der Hout LLP is seeking an associate with two years of experience as a business immigration attorney to work as part of a collaborative team representing institutional and individual clients in all aspects of business immigration. The incumbent will:

• Provide client advisory services, including evaluating eligibility for immigration benefits and assessing risk. 
• Supervise legal assistants to prepare and file NIV and IV petitions. 
• Manage a foreign national population, including tracking deadlines, developing and implementing legal strategies, and providing ongoing advisory services in addition to preparing petition filings.
• Prepare high quality and accurate legal work for a high-volume caseload, following legal best practices.
• Provide individualized and nuanced legal services to clients.

 

Qualifications:

• This position requires a J.D. and bar admission to practice in at least one U.S. state.
• 2 years of experience as a business immigration attorney.
• Experience preparing and filing H-1B and L-1 petitions, and I-485 AOS applications, required. 
• Experience with PERM applications and IV petitions a plus, including Extraordinary Ability, Outstanding Professor and Researcher, and Multinational Manager petitions.
