Associate Attorney - Consumer Class Action

The Opportunity
As an Associate Attorney in our Consumer Class Action Department, you will have the opportunity to advocate for our clients and be involved in prosecuting complex consumer fraud, data privacy, and breach of warranty class action cases. Our team litigates before all tribunals and is known for success in high-profile, high-stakes, and precedent-setting cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and arguments
- Draft and revise legal documents, including complaints, briefs, and memoranda
- Participate in strategy sessions and case planning meetings with senior attorneys and the litigation team
- Review and analyze discovery materials to identify key evidence and build a strong case
- Write and research pleadings, discovery, and motions
- Attend hearings
- Stay updated on relevant legal precedents, industry trends, and regulatory changes that may impact ongoing cases
- Coordinate with expert witnesses, including reviewing expert reports and preparing for expert depositions
- Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar
- At least three years of litigation experience
- Outstanding legal research
- Ability to collaborate and work independently
- Out-of-box thinking
- Aptitude for managing and prioritizing multiple deadlines
- Experience in mediation
- Class action experience a plus
- Appellate experience a plus
- Ability to type at least 40 wpm
- Compensation range based on experience: $185,000 - $250,000
